The Five Love Languages
I had a bit of a hard time classifying these love languages because you can show more than one love language at the same time. Regardless, thank you for showing your love for me!
This is completely unnecessary, but..
I’m neither a maniac nor an expert in classifying love languages. However, since this is so much talked about among other couples, I also wanted to include this on this website.
This page is based on the literal meanings of each love language. So, if there is something wrong with the interpretation or grouping, forgive me.
01. Quality time: spending time together has become a must when you come to Jakarta. The thing I want to highlight from this section is: you bought a very adorable birthday cake and initiated celebrating it at breakfast with all your family members. We also spent a lot of time together after that.
02. Physical touch: your favorite love language! (and mine too). Physical contact when we take pictures is mandatory. My favorite is when our arms are intertwined. What’s yours?
3. Act of service: now tell me, where did you learn to be very romantic about this act of service thingy? But, let’s put other things aside from this photo for the time being. In this photo, you don’t let me hold the cake. Well, apart from being an act of service, maybe you’re also afraid the cake will fall if I hold it🙈.
04. Receiving gifts: as we discussed earlier, I am still confused about the concept of this love language. Does it mean that the subject received a gift? Or give gifts? Whatever it is, the receiving gift in this photo is clearly this adorable birthday cake you gave me.
05. Words of affirmation: even though you can’t see it in the photo, you are very good at this love language!

Based on my observations while we are dating, you are not an ‘act of service’ person. When we walk together, you don’t open the door for me (in fact, I open it for you), you don’t take over the heavy stuff I carry, and you don’t do other ‘romantic’ things. But, once I tell you the little things that boyfriends usually do to their girls, you instantly turn 180 degrees and it’s so adorable.

One of the things I really want my partner to do for me is to give me something that he or she has considered and thought through, and put a little more effort into making it happen. Of course I throw this wish away from my mind considering how busy you are. BUT, thanks to your ‘always-wanting-to-tell-me-everything’, I came to know your struggles in getting the box you used to wrap my birthday present, and I’m very aww🥺-ed by that.
